River Monsters: Series 2 DVD

Returning for its second series, River Monsters: Series 2 takes viewers back to nature and explores some of the most hidden and extreme sea life around the world, available on DVD from 26th February 2012, courtesy of ITV STUDIOS Home Entertainment.

Consisting of seven brand new episodes, River Monsters: Series 2 continues the fantastic adventure, taking us to new destinations like the dramatic Congo River, to uncover the mysteries lurking in the fresh waters.

Hosted by presenter, biologist and angler Jeremy Wade (River Monsters: Series 1, Conan, The ONE Show), viewers are given an extreme insight into some of natures oceanic wonders, including the capture of a pregnant giant stingray who gives birth under examination from Wade and the biologist team!

Continuing on from the first series’ success, Wade returns to investigate local folklore surrounding the freshwaters of the world and puts his knowledge to the test in trying to expose the myths about what creatures really do lay beneath the surface.

From procreation to feeding habits, series 2 of River Monsters explores all this and more, along with a fascinating and delicate undercurrent of environmentalism and how it encapsulates the delicate web of underwater life. Nature lovers - this is definitely one for you.
