Abigail Breslin is set to star in a movie bringing the popular 'American Girl' dolls range to life.The nine-year-old 'Little Miss Sunshine' actress beat a host of other child stars to win the role of Kit Kittredge - a little girl growing up in Cincinnati during the Great Depression - in the first ever movie based on the books and toys.A source told the New York Post newspaper: "It is going to be a huge movie. The dolls are selling out all over America." Abigail - who turns 10 tomorrow (14.04.07) - says she has always been a fan of the 'American Girl' dolls and even collects them.The star became the fourth youngest actress to be in the running for an Oscar, when she was received a Best Supporting Actress nomination in January for her role as Olive in hit comedy drama 'Little Miss Sunshine'.The New York-born actress made her movie debut in 2002 in 'Signs' alongside Mel Gibson and 'Walk the Line' star Joaquin Phoenix.Abigail will begin filming 'American Girl' - which is being adapted by HBO Films - later this summer.
