The Czech senate have been left disappointed by Angelina Jolie after she canceled a meeting in the country's capital at the last minute. The actress, who has just finished filming a new movie in Prague, and her partner Brad Pitt planned to meet the group of lawmakers earlier this week (begs09Jul07) to discuss their careers and charity work. However, an unexpected change in her busy schedule forced the couple to abandon the date - much to the disappointment of the Czech statesment.Senator Nadvornik says, "My colleagues are very sad about the lost opportunity, they were looking forward to it so much."We intended to hold the event in the beautiful Wallenstein Palace and meant to chat about theatre, film and also charity, for we are aware of Ms. Jolie's involvement in the subject."Pitt has reportedly made amends for the missed appointment by inviting Nadvornik to Jolie's wrap party later this week. Jolie is now as famous for her charity work as she is for her acting and made claims last month that she didn't want to be remembered as an actress but for humanitarian work.

The actress has adopted three children with her partner Brad Pitt Maddox from Cambodia, Zahara from Ethiopia and Pax from Vietnam.

In 2001 Jolie was made a Goodwill Ambassador and during her time in this role she has been on many field trips around the world visiting refugees in countries such as Angola, Namibia and Tanzania.
