McCord Delighted With Charity's $250,000 Grant

Actress Annalynne Mccord has thanked her Twitter.com fans for their support after her favoured charity won a $250,000 (£156,250) grant to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.
The 90210 star is a longterm supporter of the St.
Bernard Project, which provides relief for survivors of the 2005 natural disaster.

They desperately needed funds to build a wellbeing centre in the Louisiana city, and McCord entered them into a Pepsi Refresh Celebrity Challenge for a $250,000 prize.
And she was delighted to discover on Thursday (02Sep10) that they had triumphed in the vote.
In a post on her Twitter page, she writes, "WE WON!!!! WE WON!! THANK YOU PEPSI REFRESH!!! SIMONHUCK I Love You!! stbernardproj Won $250k thksto all of you amazing ppl (people) voting!"
