Hathaway Puts Her Babysitting Skills on the Auction Block

Anne Hathaway was tempted to offer herself up as a celebrity babysitter w hen she was caught out at a recent auction event.

The actress admits she had no idea she was expected to bring something to be auctioned to the charity gala, so she offered up herself.

And she initially hoped the lucky bidder who won her would call on her te enage babysitting skills.

The Brokeback Mountain star says, "In the past I've auctioned off babysit ting... When I babysat when I was a teenager, I charged $10 an hour... Ma ybe we can do a little better now".

But instead, Hathaway offered to take the winning bidder and some pals ou t for drinks and one rich fan snapped up the offer for $12,000 (Gbp8,000).

And now she's looking forward to an expensive night out with her three ne w friends "I wanna make sure they get their money's worth".

Obama, a longtime fan of the superhero, will appear in a bonus story in the new Marvel Comics release.

In the story, Spider-Man's alter-ego Peter Parker spots a doppelganger at Obama's inauguration, which is set to take place in Washington, D.C. on 20 January (09).

Joe Quesada, Marvel's editor-in-chief, says, "Parker decides the future p resident's gonna need Spider-Man," and springs into action, using basketb all to determine the real Obama.

He's rewarded with a presidential fist-bump.
