Arnold Schwarzenegger's 'Terminator' return?

2 months ago 29th Jul 13:30

Arnold Schwarzenegger may appear in the new Terminator movie, its director has hinted.

When asked if the actor - now governor of California - will make an appearance, helmer McG said: "Well, I'm not at liberty to answer that. And perhaps in not answering it, I've answered it."

The 'Kindergarten Cop' star's representatives have previously been quick to quash reports of rumoured roles if they are untrue.

He also explained some details of the plot, which could potentially pave the way for the original star to return.

He added to MTV: "This happens in the future, post-judgment day. It happens in 2018, and we see the development of [Skynet] on its way to building the T-800, which was indeed the Arnold Schwarzenegger model.

"So we get to have a great deal of fun seeing giant robots roaming around the landscape, trying to kill all humanity. And John Connor's doing his best to hold on, and there's an interesting character named Marcus Wright ? who we don't know exactly what he's made out of."

McG also heaped praise on the movie's star, Christian Bale, saying he hopes he can repeat the success the 'A Dark Knight' star has had with the Batman franchise.
