Arnold Schwarzenegger has visited the set of 'Terminator Salvation'.
The governor of California - who played the robot killing machine in the first three films - has fuelled rumours he will be appearing in the franchise's fourth instalment.
The 61-year-old chatted with 'The Dark Knight' actor Christian Bale - who plays resistance leader John Connor in the new movie - where the movie is being shot in Los Angeles.
Ongoing rumours suggest the star could have a cameo or a voice-over.
Earlier this year, director McG suggested Schwarzenegger could make a return to acting when asked if the politician would feature in the new film.
He said: "Well, I'm not at liberty to answer that. And perhaps in not answering it, I've answered it."
'Terminator Salvation' - which focuses on the iconic T-800's creation and subsequent war against mankind - is set for a summer 2009 release.
