Kanye West: 'monkeys Are Like Genesis'.
Rap star KANYE WEST insists ARCTIC MONKEYS drummer MATT HELDERS is almost as good as his favourite sticksman - PHIL COLLINS.
The hip-hop hitmaker's unlikely idol is still adored in the music industry, even though his former band GENESIS has gone out of mainstream fashion.
And West's comment about Britain's new favourite band is to be taken as a huge compliment.
He says, "The guy on the drums is real tight, man. He's got that whole British vibe going on and he brings that Phil Collins, Genesis sound to the table.
"I can always tell if a band have a British rhythm section due to the gritty production."
