Barry Manilow has been left in a wheelchair after undergoing hip surgery. The 'Copacabana' singer had the operation just hours after winning an Emmy award on Sunday (27.08.06). Manilow's publicist Carol Marshall said: "It is natural to be in a wheelchair two days after surgery. "He's doing great. He still has a good six weeks or so of physical therapy, but he's still on a high from winning an Emmy." The 60-year-old star scooped the award for outstanding individual performance in a variety or music programme for his TV special 'Barry Manilow: Music and Passion'. After being presented with the statuette, he told the crowd: "Holy mackerel!
