Ben Affleck has signed up to appear in new comedy 'Extract'.
The 'Pearl Harbor' actor will star alongside Jason Bateman, Mila Kunis and Kristen Wiig in 'Beavis and Butthead' creator Mike Judge's latest movie.
He will play a lawyer in the film, which follows a flower-extract plant owner - played by Jason - who endures a run of terrible bad luck after finding out his wife has been having an affair
Clifton Collins Jr. has also joined the cast of the movie to play a factory worker who loses a body part in an accident and is due a huge financial pay-off.
The film is set to start shooting in Los Angeles next week.
Ben - who recently directed 'Gone Baby Gone', which starred his brother Casey - has not appeared on screen in a leading role since 'Hollywoodland' in 2006. His performance in the film won him the best actor award at the Venice Film Festival.
He has two movies due for release in the coming months, 'State of Play', with Russell Crowe, Rachel McAdams and his 'Extract' co-star Jason, and 'He's Just Not That Into You', which also stars Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johansson and Drew Barrymore.
