Ben Stiller is an "intense" director.
British comedian Steve Coogan co-starred with Ben in 'Night At The Museum' and says he found acting with the 'Meet the Fockers' star very different to being directed by him in 'Tropic Thunder'.
He explained: "As an actor, Ben is very enjoyable to work with. He's a very funny person, very good company.
"He's very intense as a director, though. Very, very exacting. He knows what he wants. But then he also is quite picky with which actors he works with. So, if you're there shooting with him, you know you've already achieved something. Because he doesn't suffer fools gladly. He is a total perfectionist. And the results of that are plain to see.
Despite Ben's tough approach, Steve insists he would love to work on another one of his movies, because he brought the best out of his cast.
He added to Moviehole.net: "He's someone who raised my game. He chooses you because he likes you. But just because he likes you doesn't mean he's just gonna let you do what you want, he really pushes you, whoever you are, you know?
"So with all the actors, he would make them crank it up, or just squeeze that extra bit of stuff out of your performance. And yeah, I would work with him again at the drop of a hat. "
