Billy Joel's ex-wife Christie Brinkley has spoken out in support of the rocker after he announced his split from wife Katie Lee.

Joel confirmed he is separating from third wife Lee on Wednesday (17Jun09) after snaps of the 27-year-old dirty dancing with designer Yigal Azrouel appeared in U.S. tabloids.
