George Sentenced To Hiv Help British pop star Boy George is to work in a hospice for HIV victims after a US court slapped him with a community service order for wasting police time. The former Culture Club star dodged a five-and-a-half-year prison sentence in March (06), following an incident which saw police seize 13 bags of cocaine from his New York City flat after he falsely reported a burglary. He explained the drugs had been abandoned at his flat after a party. However, the 44-year-old, real name George O'dowd, was given five days' community service after pleading guilty to the false burglary report.
