Brad And Angelina: End Of A Dream?

In the meantime, as Brad and Angelina were trying their best to play happy families and taking their children around the globe, Jennifer was struggling to find love.

Following her break-up with Brad, Jen had failed relationships with Vince Vaughn, British model Paul Sculfor and notorious ladies man John Mayer. But it seemed none of them could live up to Mr. Pitt.

She has most recently been linked to actors Bradley Cooper and Gerard Butler, but hasn't enjoyed any more luck with them. Those observers who take a keen interest in the love life of the world's most famous single woman have only one wish for her - she reunites with her hunky ex-husband.

Jennifer herself has always admitted she and Brad share a close relationship. Sources are confident this has always been a huge issue with the seemingly self-assured Angelina.

"I have nothing but absolute admiration for him, and I'm proud of him," Jennifer has said. "We have exchanged a few very kind hellos and wishing you wells and sending you love and congratulations on your babies."

As Brad and Jen repaired their broken friendship an envious Angelina was already plotting on how to keep hold of her man and, not surprisingly, in May 2008 she confirmed she and Brad were expecting twins. In July that year, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline arrived in the world, taking the 'Brangelina' brood to six kids. Although Brad obviously loved his children dearly, it became clear he was overwhelmed by the chaos going on at home and often escaped from the pressures of family life by throwing himself into work or socialising with friends.

A few months after the twins' birth, Angelina brought yet more unwanted attention on their relationship. She admitted she and Brad got together while he was still married to Jennifer. Although nobody was shocked, Angelina's admission confirmed what many had always regarded the pillow-lipped beauty as - a husband stealer.

Jen responded to her comments in her usual dignified way, saying it was "uncool", but Brad was said to be fuming.

In the year that followed, it seems Brad and Angelina's relationship has broken down beyond repair. They recently signed documents which would halve their $330 million fortune equally and give them joint custody of the children if they were to separate. While sources insist this was just as precaution, you have to ask the question - what happy and loved-up couple would even be thinking about a split?

When Brad fell for Angelina he had hoped she would provide him with the family he had so desperately wanted, but it seems to have turned into a case of be careful what you wish for. He may now be a father-of-six, but Brad is not the man he once was and it appears as though he needs to get out of this relationship as soon as he can. Sources close to them may insist "everything is fine" between the couple but surely it's only a matter of time before their union ends. And who's betting a certain Jennifer Aniston will be there to pick up the pieces when it does?
