Brad Pitt To Star In Remake Of Classic Bullitt

Brad Pitt will revamp one of Steve McQueen's most iconic roles in remake of 1960s classic movie Bullitt, according to internet reports. The Hollywood hunk will play Lt. Frank Bullitt in the new version of the 1968 movie.In the original, McQueen played a maverick detective hunting a hitman who has killed his fellow officers. The film is renowned for featuring one of the best car chases in cinema history. The film which was based on the novel Mute Witness by Rober L.Fish and is best remembered for the car chase scene that was to become the most influential car chase in cinema history.Brad Pitt is an Oscar nominated actor as well as a film producer. Pitt made his famous arrival into movies in that love scene with Geena Davis in Thelma and Louise.Since then the actor has gone on to star in Interview With A Vampire, Se7en, Fight Club and the Ocean's trilogy.

Pitt also owns production company 'Plan B' which produced Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

More recently it's Pitt's action off the big screen that have attracted media attention. In 2005 Brad Pitt divorced his wife of five years Jennifer Anniston after allegations he had had an affair with co-star Angelina Jolie - smoething whih they both denied.

Jolie and Pitt announced Jolie's pregnancy in January 2006. The couple now have four children three of whom are adopted and one biological child.
