Brad Pitt Saves Fan From Lake.... Brad Pitt has become a hero at the Venice Film Festival after saving a young autograph hunter from falling into a lake.
The actor agreed to sign autographs for a group of young fans on a boat on Wednesday (27Aug08) - but one teenager slipped and fell into the water.
Pitt quickly grabbed the fan and ensured he was safely back on the boat before signing a book.
He is at the Italian Festival to promote new movie Burn After Reading.
Pitt collected his Best Actor Award at the Venice Film Festival on Wednesday (27Aug08) - a year after winning the gong.
The Hollywood hunk took to the stage at the opening ceremony of the annual event to collect the Coppa Volpi for the best actor award for his turn in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
Pitt was awarded the honour last year (07), but was unable to accept the prize until this year's (08) ceremony.
