Brendan Fraser's Broadway debut has been cut short - New York stage show Elling is shutting down on Sunday (28Nov10).
The Mummy star hit the stage earlier this month (Nov10) alongside True Blood's Denis O'Hare and Jennifer Coolidge in the quirky comedy about two odd recluses who share an apartment together after being institutionalised.
But a spokesperson for the play, based at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre, has announced that after 22 previews and nine regular performances it will come to an end, reports the New York Times.
Taking to his Facebook.com page to announce the news, O'Hare wrote, "If you want to see Elling, ya better hurry. We are being closed down this Sunday... yup. Our producers will go no further. Happy Thanksgiving!"
