Murphy's Mother-In-Law 'we Are Completely Devastated'

Brittany Murphy's mother-in-law has told of the family's devastation overthe actress' sudden death on Sunday (20Dec09).

The Clueless star passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest at the Hollywood Hills home she shared with her husband, British screenwriter Simon Monjack.

Now Monjack's mother, Linda, has opened up about the family's shock andgrief over the tragedy.

She tells The Jewish Chronicle, "We're just completely devastated... He(Simon) has lost the love of his life. It's very hard for everybody, especially Simon and Brittany's mother. I've spoken to her mother, and she is distraught. Brittany was an only child, and her mother was living with them".

Murphy will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, in California's Hollywood Hills on Christmas Eve (24Dec09), according to RadarOnline.com.

The cause of her death has been "deferred" pending toxicology results.
