Brittany Snow visited prostitutes and strippers to prepare for her role in 'Finding Amanda'.
The actress stars as a Las Vegas hooker alongside Matthew Broderick in the comedy and says she found she identified with many of the people she spoke to during her research.
She told Parade.com: "I wanted Amanda to be just a regular girl that you would not expect to be a prostitute and you would want to be friends with.
"I met some girls who were working as strippers and prostitutes and when they talked to me about their families and girly things, I kind of related to them. They were so articulate and so smart and really normal girls that I might have gone to high school with."
However, 22-year-old Brittany also confessed to finding some of the encounters disturbing.
She added: "This one girl described how this guy left bruises all over arms because he grabbed her so forcefully off the stage where she was a stripper. She had bruises because of it yet she was describing it in such a nonchalant, happy way that it made me feel really uncomfortable."
Brittany also plays a prostitute in the forthcoming 'Black Water Transit' and says seeing the film is akin to taking drugs.
