Hairspray star Brittany Snow is reportedly set to star in an upcoming Gossip Girl spin-off.The 22-year-old actress is said to be in talks with TV producers to take the lead role in the prequel show to the teen drama which is due to hit TV screens later this year (09).The new programme will chronicle the early years of Lily van der Woodsen in 1980s Los Angeles, the character currently played by Kelly Rutherford in the Gossip Girl series. The pilot episode for the spinoff will air in the U.S. on 11 May (09) as part of the Gossip Girl series, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
