A controversial nude portrait of Brooke Shields as a child has been replaced in a U.K. gallery by a photo of the actress sporting a bikini.

Exhibition organisers at the Tate Modern in London removed artist Richard Prince's image earlier this month (Oct09) over fears it breached the U.K.'s Obscene Publications Act.

The picture, entitled Spiritual America, depicted Shields at 10 years old in 1975, wearing heavy make-up and oil on her body.

It has since been replaced by another photo taken by Prince, called Spiritual America IV, which shows the star in the exact same pose but aged 40 and wearing a two-piece swimsuit.

Prince's nude image has been exhibited in the U.S. but not in Britain.
