Nude Bruni Snap Sold For $91,000....

A topless picture of French president Nicolas Sarkozy's wife Carla Bruni has sold at action for $91,000 (£45,000).The model-turned-French first lady was the centre of a furious bidding war at New York auction house Christie's on Thursday (10Apr08) when a bare-breasted portrait of Bruni went on sale.The 1993 glamour shot of Bruni by photographer Michel Comte was initially expected to draw $3,000 (£1,500) - but was finally won by an anonymous Chinese investor.

But the picture couldn't compete with Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen or Brigitte Bardot - their nude images were sold for $193,000 (£96,000) and $181,000 (£90,000) respectively.
