Bacon Gives Crawford Advice for Footloose Role

Footloose star Kevin Bacon has been sharing his words of wisdom with Chace Crawford after learning the Gossip Girl actor is stepping into his dancing shoes for a remake of the 1984 movie classic.

Crawford is currently brushing up on his fancy footwork to take over the Hollywood star's iconic part as Ren McCormack - and Bacon's actress wife Kyra Sedgwick admits the original Ren approves of his casting - and so does the couple's teenage daughter Sosie.

And she reveals the two actors have already met to chat about the role.

We're thrilled (with Crawford's casting)

Sedgwick tells People.com, "We're thrilled (with Crawford's casting). Sosie is a big fan. We met him at the White House Correspondent's Dinner. Kevin and he had a chat. He's very sweet".

But she warns Crawford not to be complacent about the role, adding, "Hehas big shoes to fill!"
