McG will never direct another Charlie's Angels movie - because he wants to concentrate on establishing himself as a sci-fi film-maker.
McG was at the helm of the 2000 big screen version of the classic TV series, starring Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu, and returned todirect the sequel, Charlie's Angels Full Throttle, in 2003.
I'm trying to grow and work in genres that I'm most comfortable working in
Barrymore confirmed earlier this year (09) that the three angels are set to reprise their roles for another film.
But McG won't be taking to the director's chair for the third picture, as he is keen to focus on more male dominated movies - such as his recentwork on new blockbuster Terminator Salvation.
He tells Mania, "I'm trying to grow and work in genres that I'm most comfortable working in. I got started in Charlie's Angels, and I wish them every success with another sequel, but these are the films that I grew up feeling very passionate about. The Terminator. Blade Runner. The Kubrick pictures".
