Charlize Theron won't film a sex scene if she doesn't have the option to cut it from the finished movie.

The 'Hancock' actress - who has been dating actor Stuart Townsend since 2002 - revealed to website Parade.com: "I always have a clause in my contract that if I see the finished film and I don't feel it's appropriate or I do feel like somebody's trying to take advantage of me, I can pull the scene."

Charlize, 32, also claims there is nothing sexual about filming bedroom scenes because they are so technical.

She explained: "I think people forget how technical those scenes are, more technical than anything else that you'll ever do in acting. It's not a sexy free for all. It's not show up and get busy and hopefully the camera will catch it. And there really is no room for anything except occasional awkwardness and giggles."
