Chloe Sevigny sobbed for days on the set of new British TV drama Hit and Miss as she was fitted with a prosthetic penis.
Putting it on took two hours
The Boys Don't Cry star admits it was emotionally challenging for her to portray a transgender assassin and she couldn't get used to her masculine look.
She tells TV Guide magazine, "(I cried) every time I wore it. It was seven separate days of filming. Putting it on took two hours.
"I shaved myself and they had to glue it on, paint it and pull away the Skin to make it seamless.
"It's a tedious process, and it's hard having someone so close to your private parts for an extended period of time who you're not having sex with them.
"Having it on and looking at yourself is oddly disturbing. I felt like a freak."
