Christian Bale's rom-com rule

4 months ago 05th Jun 13:30

Christian Bale says he will never star in a rom-com.

The 'American Psycho' actor insists he isn't only attracted to 'dark' roles, but has ruled out doing a comedy.

The 34-year-old said: "I have no attraction to misery.

"The only think I would unequivocally say is that I have never had any interest in romantic comedy - I just couldn't do it. I think I'd be terrible.

"And I think it's an oxymoron anyway. I've never found any of them funny."

Bale will next be seen reprising his role as billionaire-turned-crime fighter Bruce Wayne in The Dark Knight, due for release on July 25.

He movie marks one of the late Heath Ledger's final roles as Batman's arch-enemy, The Joker and Christian recently described his co-star as "incredibly intense in his performance but incredibly mellow and laid-back."
