Model Christie Brinkley sparkled in New York on Thursday (01Nov07) when she unveiled the giant Swarovski Star, which will sit atop the Rockefeller Center's famous Christmas tree this holiday season.The 2007 bauble weighs 550 pounds (249.4 kilograms) and features more than 25,000 Swarovski crystals.Brinkley has joined celebrities like Cindy Crawford and Jamie Lee Curtis in designing a series of miniature Swarovski stars that will be auctioned off for charity.Each celebrity decorated their own star with crystals, ornaments and ribbons.The stars will be auctioned off on website eBay.com throughout next week (beg05Nov07). All proceeds will go to the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation charity.
