Christina Ricci Calls Off Engagement

Christina Ricci has called off her marriage plans after reportedly splitting from fiance Owen Benjamin.

The Speed Racer star, 29, and the comedian ended their romance after a bust-up at a weekend (31May09) party, according to People.com.

A source tells the publication, "Owen had a birthday party this past Sunday, and everything seemed fine.

"Sometime after, they got into a fight and decided to re-evaluate things. (Then) the engagement was off."

A pal says, "They really are still close. They talk almost every day. It was a very mature decision and they both felt good about it. They're definitely still friends."

Ricci and Benjamin announced their engagement in March (09).
