Clive Owen has praised his "brave" 'Derailed' co-star Jennifer Aniston for the way she copes with rumours and speculation about her life.
The heartthrob actor says he admires the way Jennifer was professional and kept smiling while they shot the movie - despite being plagued by media reports about the collapse of her marriage to Brad Pitt and his new romance with Angelina Jolie.
He told Glamour magazine: "Jennifer is a very brave and strong woman. She never once let her personal problems affect her work, even though she knew every newspaper and magazine was dragging her private life out.
"She was always smiling and chatting with the crew, always ready to rehearse with me and the other actors, and just generally very professional."
The actor also laughed off claims he had a fling with the former 'Friends' beauty.
He said: "It's so ridiculous. Every time an actor and actress are working together on a film, there's this irresistible impulse to link them romantically."
He added: "But it's awful that every time Jennifer works on a movie, there are stories she's having an affair with her leading man.
"She's tough, though; she just ignores it and gets on with her life."
