Colin Farrell's Heath worry

Colin Farrell "freaked out" when he was asked to take over a film role from the late Heath Ledger.

The 'Alexander' star is one of three actors - along with Jude Law and Johnny Depp - to help finish 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus', which was still in production when the 'Brokeback Mountain' star died of an accidental prescription drugs overdose in January, but admits he was uncomfortable stepping into his friend's shoes.

His co-star Verne Troyer said earlier this year: I don't know how I feel about it

Colin said: "It was a very difficult decision to make, when I first heard about it I totally freaked at the idea."

However, the actor believed he made the right decision, and thinks Heath would have approved of director Terry Gilliam's decision to complete the movie.

He added: "It was important to get Heath's work out and doing what I think Heath would have wanted, which was finishing the movie to its entirety."

Colin was not the only actor to feel uncertain about replacing Heath.

His co-star Verne Troyer said earlier this year: "I don't know how I feel about it. Part of me thinks maybe it would be better to leave it be."
