Daniel Craig almost barred from entering the US

Daniel Craig was once almost barred from entering the US as border officials were suspicious of the then-aspiring star's intentions to move to America.

The James Bond star has just accepted one of his first acting roles in The Power od One and headed across the pong to pursue his Hollywood ambitions.

The dream could have been over before it begun for Craig as the officials persisted to endlessly question him about his travel intentions.

He remembers: "I did this little movie for Warner Bros back in 1990... I didn't have a credit card. I didn't have a driver's licence. And I didn't have any money. I got to Customs, and they nearly turned me away.

"They literally said, 'How are you going to support yourself?' and I went, 'Ah, I don't know.' So I was grilled at Customs for about an hour."
