Warner Bros. have apologised to fans for delaying the release of the next 'Harry Potter' movie.
'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' - starring Daniel Radcliffe as the title character - was due for release this November, but it was announced earlier this week that it now won't be seen until next July.
Warner Bros. president Alan Horn said in a statement: "Many of you have written to express your disappointment in our moving 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' to Summer 2009.
"Please be assured that we share your love for Harry Potter and would certainly never do anything to hurt any of the films. Over the past ten years, we have nurtured and protected each film, and the integrity of the books upon which they are based, to the best of our ability.
"The decision to move 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' was not taken lightly, and was never intended to upset our Harry Potter fans. We know you have built this series into what it is, and we thank you for your ongoing enthusiasm and support."
The delay now means that the gap between the sixth mo vie and the first instalment of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' will now be less than 18 months because the latter's November 2010 release date is unaffected.
It was decided earlier this year to split 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' into two movies because the book - the final one in the series - was so long.

I am not placated. I feel like one of many oh-so important fans whom Warner Brothers wants to drain for every dollar (pound) possible. I feel used, not appeased.
