Danny Dyer has risks the wrath of punk rock fans
British actor Danny Dyer has risked the wrath of punk rock fans - by insisting Sex Pistols legend Sid Vicious was "useless".
The notorious bass player died from a heroin overdose aged 21 while on bail for the murder of his girlfriend Nancy Spungen.
Movie tough-guy Dyer plays Vicious in new London stage production Kurt & Sid, which tells of an imaginary meeting between the punk icon and late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.

He says, "The fascinating thing about Sid Vicious is he was useless. He was an idea, an image. He couldn't play a guitar or sing. He was called Vicious but he wasn't - he was a really sensitive soul.
