David Blaine To Marry

David Blaine is planning to marry his French girlfriend, model Alizee Guinochet.

The illusionist reportedly confirmed the engagement to New York Post gossip column PageSix over the weekend (18-19Apr09).

The star, 36, has bought his 23-year-old partner a "pre-engagement" gold band, but will treat her to a "real" ring when the economy improves, according to the publication.

And when asked about a date for the wedding, Blaine insists he won't be walking down the aisle until he has shaped up, adding, "I gotta work out, I gotta lose the weight."

Blaine has shot to fame after a string of stunts over recent years including being encased in ice and buried alive.

One of his stunts, which saw him starve himself in a seal through sealed box, took place in London.
