Delphine Chaneac has a secret literary background - she has penned a novel about a prostitute.
Chaneac, who played the half-human Dren in the sci-fi movie Splice, has enjoyed underground success in her native France's book world with her debut 2009 novel Ce qu’il reste de moi.
She tells WENN, "It was not a bestseller but it was a personal achievement to me as it is my first novel and, in a way, the conclusion of a deep thought and vision I have of society as it is right now, regarding human relationships.
"It was released about a year ago.
"It’s the story of a prostitute discovering her body and her sensations through her customers and the people she meets.
"She is trying to show how, in the actual society, you can so easily separate your mind and your body. It was very interesting for me to write."
