Tennant To Play Hamlet?....

Doctor Who star David Tennant is locked in talks with Royal Shakespeare Company (Rsc) bosses about playing Hamlet, according to reports.

The actor - who has spoken in the past of his desire to play William Shakespeare's Danish prince - has previously acted in six plays for the Rsc.

But rehearsals for the stage production might well clash with filming if the star chooses to sign up to a fourth series of the next Doctor Who.

Since appearing as the timelord in the cult Bbc show, Tennant has been offered numerous high-profile acting roles - and recently finished shooting a movie called Einstein And Eddington.
