Dolly Parton stunned fans at the opening night of her musical 9 TO 5 in Los Angeles on Tuesday, by stepping up and performing live when a technical glitch brought the show to a halt
The country legend stepped onstage to introduce 9 to 5: The Musical at the Ahmanson Theatre and promised to return if any problems caused the first night performance to grind to a halt.
And when the moving set stopped halfway through the first act - Parton kept her promise.
The 62-year-old stepped back onstage and sang her hits 9 to 5 and I Will Always Love you - before the glitch was fixed and the show could go on.
The musical, which is set to run in L.A. until October, has been dogged with technical issues - two preview starts were scrapped last week to allow cast and crew to solve onstage problems.
