Ed Westwick Not Leaving Gossip Girl

Ed Westwick has shot down speculation he is preparing to leave the hit U.S. teen show, after recently revealing he was "ready to do something else".
 
Fans of the British actor were devastated after he admitted in an interview with Tatler magazine that he feels he should move on from the series after doing all he could with his sly character Chuck Bass.
 
But the star insists he simply wants to take on projects outside of the show and has no plans to leave in the near future.
 
He tells OK!, "That was kind of taken out of context. What I actually said was that I wanted to maximise my time, but I had agreed to do other projects as well.
 
"I'm having a fantastic time with Gossip Girl, (it's a) great character, great cast and I live in New York City."
