Ellen DeGeneres is playing Mother Nature.
The talk show host has signed on to play the goddess in an untitled comedy penned by 'Sex and the City' writer Jenny Bicks.
The film - which is being produced by Walden Media, the team behind 'The Chronicles of Narnia' series - see Mother Nature return to earth for the first time since the planet's creation.

Ellen told The Hollywood Reporter: "I've always wanted to control the weather. Nothing will stop me from doing this. Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet.

Walden is fast-tracking production of the film and filming will reportedly begin in Los Angeles in June, while DeGeneres is on hiatus from her Emmy Award-winning day-time program 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'.
The comedienne hasn't starred in a live-action film since 1999, when she appeared in 'EDtv' and 'The Love Letter'. More recently, she was the voice of Dory in animated feature 'Finding Nemo' and is planning to lend her voice to a new Warner Brothers animation 'Dog Show'.
