Hawke To Make London Stage Debut....
Actor Ethan Hawke is set to fulfill his lifelong dream of appearing in a London stage play, after making his debut in a double-bill production in the West End.
The Dead Poets Society star is set to appear in a new adaptation of Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard by Tom Stoppard, and Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale. Both will be directed by American Beauty filmmaker Sam Mendes.
In 2002, Hawke was quoted as saying: "I really have a big dream of being in the West End. I love the work that happens here, and the fact that people go to the theatre, and how good the theatre is here".
