Ethan Hawke and his new wife Ryan Shawhughes have snubbed the opportunity to sell the first photos of their newborn baby daughter, by posing in public with the one-week-old.
Shawhughes gave birth to Clementine Jane Hawke in a New York hospital last week.
And the couple stepped out in Manhattan with their new daughter on Friday, killing any chance of a potential exclusive family photo deal with a tabloid magazine.
Hawke and Shawhughes, who married in June, refused to chat with photographers as they carried tiny Clementine into a yellow cab.
Magazine bosses have bought the first snaps of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's twins Knox and Vivienne for a reported $11 million, and an exclusive peek at Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves' baby son Levi was reportedly worth $3 million.
That photo and others graced this week's OK! magazine.
