Eva Mendes can't live without spice.

'The Spirit' actress enjoys a temperature-raising taste sensation and would take crushed red pepper and her boyfriend with her if she was ever stranded on a desert island.

She said: "My five desert island staples would have to be my boyfriend George Augusto, our dog Hugo, an iPod, the Sunday New York Times newspaper and crushed red pepper."

She told Britain's The Times newspaper: I love and accept my body completely

The 43-year-old actress has also revealed she wouldn't change a thing about her physical appearance.

She told Britain's The Times newspaper: "I love and accept my body completely. I know that is not an interesting answer, but I really wouldn't change anything. I've worked too hard on accepting it all!"

But while Eva - the daughter of Cuban parents - isn't hankering after other actress' looks, she is envious of those who tackle more challenging roles, especially double Golden Globe winner Kate Winslet.

She said: "I would steal Kate Winslet's roles. All her roles. Not only is she the most amazing actress in the entire world, she's done nude scenes in a lot of her films which shows she's just fearless."

Eva can currently be seen in comic book drama 'The Spirit' alongside Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson.
