Fabio Crashes Car

Model and movie star Fabio wrecked a borrowed Ferrari after the brakes reportedly failed during a Saturday afternoon (11Apr09) drive in the Hollywood Hills.

The romance icon, who appeared as himself in the films Zoolander and Dude, Where's My Car?, lost control of the $300,000 (GBP214,300) vehicle as he attempted to navigate a curve on Mulholland Drive.

Fabio, real name Fabio Lanzoni, was driving the Ferrari Scaglietti as part of an event organised by World Class Driving.

The star was unhurt in the crash and no other vehicle was involved.

A statement from WCD reads, "We are not very proud of the fact that Fabio wrecked our car."

Fabio has yet to comment about the crash.
