Farrah Fawcett Laid To Rest

Farrah Fawcett's friends and family have gathered at Los Angeles' Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels to bid farewell to the Charlie's Angels star.

Fawcett's longtime companion, Ryan O'Neal, was among pallbearers who held the star's casket aloft as it was carried into the Roman Catholic cathedral on Tuesday afternoon (30Jun09).

The church and the coffin were decorated with orange and yellow flowers - the actress' favourite colours.

Fawcett's Charlie's Angels co-star Kate Jackson and longtime pal Alana Stewart were among the celebrities paying their respects as the funeral service got underway.

Redmond O'Neal, her 24-year-old son, was granted a three-hour release from jail, where he's serving time on drug charges, to attend the funeral.

The actress lost her battle with anal cancer last week (25Jun09). She was 62.
