Alex Kapranos wants to do more producing.
The Franz Ferdinand frontman has recently been working in the studio on The Cribs' latest album, 'Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever', and says he'd love to get behind the mixing decks again.
He told BBC 6 Music: "I'd love to do more producing. We built a studio in Glasgow which was where we recorded all of this forthcoming Franz Ferdinand record.
"I was talking to Sons and Daughters recently and I'd love to go in and record them.
"And Panico, the band from Chile, who are now in Paris who we toured with recently - I'd love to record them. If there's a band that excites me and thinks it could work with me then I'd love to, it's just a case of time as for a while we're gonna be busy touring."
Franz Ferdinand debuted songs from their forthcoming album during a series of intimate concerts last month.
