Freida Pinto Bemused By Patel's Flirting

Freida Pinto had no idea her Slumdog Millionaire co-star Dev Patel had feelings for her as they worked on the Oscar-nominated movie, as he constantly flirted with other women on set.

The stars began dating after falling in love making the hit 2008 film, but Pinto admits it took her a while to realise British actor Patel had strong affections for her.

She explains, "He has this typical British sense of humour, which is a funny, sexual kind of humour. "So he would flirt with everybody on set.

"Not in a bad way - he'd just go up to women and say, 'Oh, you're looking very sexy today'. And they'd be really happy.

"Here was this boy, trying to be a man, trying to flirt with a grown-up woman. He was just a bundle of joy".

And Pinto admits they didn't confide in each other about their feelingsfor some time "We never knew something was going on until we actually just sat down and said, 'What the hell is happening here?

"Is this normal?'It was our first film after all, so we didn't have a clue".
