Gavin Rossdale Opens Up About Lowe 'Friendship'

Gavin Rossdale has opened up about his blossoming relationship with his daughter Daisy Lowe - insisting their new-found connection feels "more like a friendship".

The rocker didn't know he was related to the 21-year-old British model until she demanded a paternity test in 2004, which revealed him as her biological father.

The pair made efforts to re-connect in 2009 and Lowe, whose mother is former Powder star Pearl Lowe, recently admitted she now has a "really good relationship" with her father.

And Rossdale, who has two young sons with wife Gwen Stefani, admits his bond with Lowe is very different to the love he feels for his other children.

He tells Details magazine, "With the boys it’s traditional; I’m all they know and I’m with them all the time. With Daisy, I don’t know her in that context. I love my connection with her, but I don’t have any say in who she is. With the boys it’s my job to correct them and shape them. With Daisy, I just have to be respectful. I suppose it’s more like a friendship.”
