George Clooney will play an assassin in his next film.
The 'Burn After Reading' star has signed up to appear in 'A Very Private Gentleman', the latest movie from 'Control' director Anton Corbijn.
The movie - which is based on a novel by Martin Booth - sees George's character move to a rural Italian village, where he poses as an artist painting butterfly miniatures.
In the village, he begins to make friends, including with a local prostitute and having confessional sessions with the local priest until he realises someone is following him.
Production on the film - which is being written by '28 Weeks Later' scribe Rowan Joffe - is set to begin in Italy this autumn.
No other casting announcements have been made.
