Two paparazzi photographers are suing supermodel Gisele Bundchen and her husband Tom Brady over an alleged shooting incident at the couple's Costa Rica wedding.

The two men, already identified as Yuri Cortez and Rolando Aviles, claim bodyguards shot at them, shattering the rear window of their vehicle, as they attempted to get unauthorised snaps of the ceremony this spring (09).

They are seeking more than $1 million in damages

The photographers tell Tmz.com they got proper clearance to take photosfrom a nearby property - but Brady's security team demanded they hand over cameras and equipment after spotting them taking pictures.

The snappers were attempting to make a quick escape in an Suv, when the security men opened fire and showered the vehicle with bullets.

In the suit, filed in New York on Tuesday (22 Sep 09), the two men claim the bullets "narrowly missed" striking them.

The photographers allege Brady and Bundchen were negligent in hiring and training the security team.

They are seeking more than $1 million (£666,000) in damages.

The Boston Herald previously reported the paparazzi were from the Inf photo agency, and were hiding in bushes near Bundchen's beachfront home inMal Pais, taking pictures of the event when they were caught by the newlyweds' security guards.

The New York Daily News published a photo of the shot-up car in April (09).
